Nervous System Reset Yoga

The busyness of daily life can cause imbalances in your nervous system, making it difficult to decompress and experience a sense of calm. Everything can feel off and overwhelming. This leads to stress patterns building up in our bodies.

Did you know our nervous system is considered the deepest core of our being. It dictates how we feel in our bodies, the clarity of our thoughts, and the quality of our relationships. When it is in balance, we flow with the ups and downs of life. We are resilient.

Nervous System Reset is a yoga class designed to down regulate the nervous system through movement, tremoring, mindfulness and meditation.
This class aims to
-Relieve mental, emotional, and physical stress
-Increase vitality and experience a profound sense of freedom in your body and mind
-Promote clarity, focus, and better sleep
-Meet daily challenges with newfound peace, discernment, and power.

Format:
Class starts with 30 minutes of a gentle vinyasa flow followed by 15 minutes of tremoring, 10 minutes of sivasana and finishes off with a quiet seated mediation.

Essential Low Back Program

Back pain is the number one cause of lost work days in the U.S. contributing to more disability than any other health problem. Psychological distress and depression often accompany chronic back pain. For the majority of people with low back pain, the specific cause is unclear. The Essential Low Back Program can help!

This 6-week series, developed by renowned yoga therapist Robin Rothenberg, based on her work with two studies funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH), utilizing yoga for the treatment of lower back pain. Of the study participants, 78% experienced a significant reduction in pain levels. The program uses a gentle form of yoga with a strong focus on adaptation, breath development and specific poses to alleviate back pain and prevent its recurrence.

ALL LEVELS ARE WELCOME! Adaptations will be offered for those who feel more comfortable in a chair.

The series includes 6 classes, each 90 minutes, plus the book and CD for students to practice at home.

Cost: $120 for the entire series, book and CD.

About the Instructor-
Renee Wirth has been a devoted student of hatha yoga for 20 years. After completing an initial 200-hour training in 2007 as a deeper exploration of her own practice, Renee continued to study and grow as a teacher, drawing from a variety of styles including Anusara, Iyengar and Viniyoga. She quickly found that yoga complemented her health-focused lifestyle by allowing her to slow down, discover new strength and stability, and bring her body, mind and spirit into balance. In recent years she has focused her studies on yoga philosophy and therapeutic applications including functional movement and breathing, mindfulness and mental wellness. Now with more than 1000 hours of training, she offers her students a practice that meets them where they are and encourages them to explore with compassionate curiosity. Renee enjoys a light-hearted approach, while providing a safe environment for her students’ own self-discovery. She is registered with Yoga Alliance (RYT 500) and continues to study yoga therapy.

Mama Nurture Circle
Sep
23
6:30 PM18:30

Mama Nurture Circle

Mama Nurture Circle is a weekly circle that meets every Monday for 6 weeks from 6:30-8:30 pm at The Hive. This circle is part open processing (as in each person gets to choose what she wants to share with the group), guided discussion, short meditation, and a possibly a little experiential exploration.

Weekly format roughly looks like a short meditation to clear our mind and ground our body into the present, a check in, then we explore different topics from relationships to self-care and everything in between through art, writing and/or discussion.

Who

This is a circle for any type of mother (step, adopted, biological) in any stage of parenting (from pregnant moms to parents of adults) who are looking to gain a deeper connection to their self as well as other women. This is NOT a group just for new moms. Although this can be helpful for new moms, it is for moms at any stage who are ready to do some internal/emotional work to discover who she is in the current stage she is in. It's about coming home to the woman she is, not the woman she was.

Why

For many women, after becoming a mom her life is devoted to her child. In this devotion there are parts of herself she loses. For others, raising a child triggers all the parts of herself that were rejected as a child and she loses herself to the pain and rage she is dealing with. Some women are so convinced that there is a "right" way to parent and are stuck in controlling the environment around her in order to protect her child that she gets stuck in a constant anxious state. The struggles vary, but what is clear for most is that there is a sense of self that is lost. For many women, joining a circle of women who are really open and vulnerable can be healing, nurturing and can help women rediscover herself through the insights and stories other women share.

This offering fosters deep connection, vulnerability, truth, and awareness. For some it's the first radical step towards self care that can create the much needed change one is looking for.

What does a circle look like?

When in circle we put our attention on one woman to explore what her experience is like, essentially getting into deep relationship with what is most true and alive for her.

The experience of being seen for who we are is one of the most fulfilling experiences we can have. Being in circle teaches us exactly that, how to see and celebrate each woman for the uniqueness she brings to the world.

We don’t give advice or try to fix anyone. Rather, we welcome and stay with what is so we can relax into the truth of our experience, feel supported, know we are not alone and allow the experience of this to change us.

Circle Dates:

September 23rd- October 28th, 6:30-8:30pm

$120 for 6 weeks.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO LEARN?
You'll learn the neuroscience behind stress and resiliency. From this understanding of how your nervous system reacts to stressors, you'll have the opportunity to practice strategies for balancing this system for optimal wellness. No previous experience or training is required to attend, although an interest in neuroscience and somatic (or body) oriented practices for resiliency will likely equal more satisfaction in the training.

Saturday, 9a-5p | AM/neuroscience with Jenifer, PM/tools & processing with Shanti
Sunday, 9a-4p | AM/neuroscience & tools with Jenifer, PM/tools & processing with Shanti

And Now Love Documentary Screening

Please Join The Hive at our new location,
339 SW Century Dr. Suite #203, Bend OR
For Bend's only screening of the documentary "And Now Love"

"And Now, Love," is an award-winning documentary memoir on the life and work of Dr. Bernard W. Bail, a highly decorated World War II American Jewish veteran who was captured by the Nazis and rescued by a secret love affair with his German nurse. After the war, Bail came to believe that all wars are the manifestation of the wars within ourselves. Dedicated to healing mental anguish, he became a doctor and psychoanalyst who developed a theory called the “mother’s imprint,” focusing on transgenerational trauma passed down in utero and striking at the root of all psychopathology. As his work evolved, his conviction in the undeniable link between social progress and the treatment of women made him a firm believer in the idea that if the world can ever know peace, women must lead the way.

At 98 years-old, Dr. Bail is still practicing and is one of the last remaining Jewish WWII veterans and prisoners of war still alive to share his story. “And Now, Love” was written, directed and produced by Jill Demby Guest who is an Emmy nominated, Promax award-winning producer and narrated by Peter Coyote

Wireless Radiation, EMFs, Elk Meadow Phone Tower & 5G

Wireless Radiation, EMFs, Elk Meadow Phone Tower & 5G

Wanting to learn more about wireless radiation, EMFs, 5G roll outs, ways you can make safer environments and ways you can help your family right now? Do you have specific concerns and and are looking for actionable strategies with the Elk Meadow mobile phone tower and your children's safety?
This is timely and needed talk due to the construction of a new phone tower right next to the grounds of Elk Meadow Elementary School with about 500 students. Scott will provide the details about microwave radiation, explain the details about the frequencies, show you directly what is going on with EMF meters, and educate you the range of additional EMF sources around us besides wireless, which includes the Extremely Low Frequencies, Stray Voltage, Dirty Electricity, and our artificial lighting systems.
He will also help provide tips and strategies to reduce our EMF exposures for actionable items you can take away with you for a better quality of life.
Scott will present this talk to keep a good mood and peaceful atmosphere to grow and be educated in this subject. However, as a Public Health issue, there are many concerns about EMFs and the impacts upon our biology (and all of life for that matter) present in the Scientific literature, which includes 28,000+ Scientific Papers and growing daily. During the Q&A, he may need to reference what is going on in the science when answering questions that deal with negative biological impacts and disease expressions. For this reason, we advise to leave children at home for this particular event. He might also refrain from answering certain questions immediately that are better left 1:1 after the presentation, which are likely to invoke fears in people.

Scott J. Compton has deeper knowledge in biophysics, runs the social media group EMF Warriors (17,000+ members), has interviewed key people over the years involved in this issue and he is the CEO of Modern Lifestyle Hygiene: a Building Biology, EMF assessment and Health Consultation business.

In the spirit of friendship and hospitality, we will create a safe, inclusive space for all. Through light study of one emotion a week and a corresponding chakra, Yin Yoga poses, show and tell, poetry, art, music, laughter, treasure hunts, and field trips, we will navigate new ways of responding, while supporting one another in the ebb and flow of life’s ups & downs.

Plants & Purpose

Join us in circle as we explore working with plants through essential oils on all levels of our personal and planetary work. Together, let's open to the messages and whispers of plants and community.

We will be experiencing the oils together in a short guided meditation & we will share what we have learned integrating essential oils into our lives. For all to have a proper introduction, there will be a short 101 about oils to begin.

What does it feel like to make the commitment to reach for a natural way of living, with clear eyes, hearts, and minds? What is the doTERRA difference?

We will sit in inquiry and curiosity with what true health care is. All are welcome.

🌿 Please do Inquire about the Humanitarian efforts, and possibilities of matching your own project in fundraising with us, we are currently taking applications for this dollar matching program.

🌿Please also inquire about the changes to health care that are currently coming through doterra. If this arena is a passion of yours, we are currently accepting physicians, NP for nation wide clinics. (This is not for doterra wellness advocates)

🌿Please also inquire about becoming a wellness advocate with our wellness community with doTERRA. Let’s talk!

There is a new way of being, there is possibility and change.

There is a full circle of giving and receiving in the plant and human relationship that teaches us in profoundly quiet and deep ways.

Let’s meet in Reciprocity.

Community Potluck Dialogues

This month features special mini cupcakes from Salud. $5 per person.
